We have the pleasure to invite you to Romania’s sixth National JamboreeRoJAM 2.0 17. With the motto Change the Perspective, the event aims to leave the world a better place by focusing on the responsibility we have for shaping our future.

The programme will be based on the impact that scientic and technological advancements have in a continuously changing world, on the growing necessity to implement sustainable development solutions in our daily lives and on understanding and promoting diversity.

At RoJAM2.0 17, you will have the unique opportunity to hike on incredible trails, explore historical villages and experience 12 days of camping in the heart of Transylvania together with 1500 scouts from Romania and all over the world.

What can you do at RoJAM 2.0 17?

The Jamboree proposes a complex programme, and here are some examples of activities:

#Non-Formal Education Laboratory – non-formal education workshops proposed by external partners

#Global Development Village

#Diversity workshops and activities

#Future is Now – integrating new technologies and scientific discoveries in daily life

#A three day expedition in the Transylvanian Alps

#Urban Adventure in Brasov / Kronstadt

#100% Scout – traditional Scouting activities (pioneering, orienteering, woodcraft…)

#Nosce Te – Know Thyself – self-discovery activities and workshops

#Scout Fair

#Faiths and Beliefs Area

#Rover’s programme – Along with the Romanian rovers, you will have the chance

to learn, get involved and develop yourself, while exploring the Transylvanian countryside. The rover programme includes an itinerant element so the jamboree will start 4 days earlier for you.


Aside from these, you can also choose to experience the Romanian culture and way of scouting by registering to one (or more) of the following pre-Jamboree activities:


Twinning – having a Romanian twin group will allow your group to better understand the culture of the country and scouting in Romania.

Home Hospitality – The Home Hospitality programme allows international participants to be part of a Romanian family between July 31st – August 4th.

Nochrich Scout Centre – H.C. Habermann – Our scout centre (located next to Sibiu and 2 hours away from the RoJAM 2.0 17 site) is open for groups of scouts before or after the Jamboree.

IST – If you are above 19, you can join RoJAM 2.0 17 as an IST member and help build up the Jamboree.

What are the costs?

Participation fee: 200 euro (also applicable for the Rover’s programme which is 3 days longer – includes 3 meals per day, camping space, access to all activities)

IST fee: 100 euro – will cover accommodation and meals from the moment you arrive on site

Home Hospitality: 30 euro – includes transportantion from and to the jamboree site and

your host family will provide you with meals and accommodation.
